以家蚕等昆虫变态发育及其与响应病原微生物的互作研究模型,解析其中发生的细胞死亡新机制,尤其是尚未在昆虫中研究报道的细胞死亡形式及其翻译后修饰调控机制益虫利用和害虫防治提供靶标位点。此外,还筛选与查找了高效抑制病原增殖的药物、化合物,详细分析了它们的作用机制,为畜禽疾病的治疗和生产保健提供理论指导。
(2)以家蚕、黑水虻等为对象,解析昆虫发育和免疫应答的表观修饰调控机制
着重解析幼虫-蛹变态发育中家蚕、果蝇幼虫组织重塑、家蚕不同品种对BmNPV抗性差异的形及肠道有益菌对黑水虻生长发育调控的表观修饰调控机制,详细分析了它们的作用靶点及通路,为畜禽疾病的治疗和生产保健提供理论指导。
(3)黑水虻等资源(蛋白)昆虫的基础生物学研究、种质开发及利用技术
团队长期从事黑水虻等腐生资源昆虫生长发育调控、种质资源收集与保护以及特殊性能品种培育和应用技术研发等工作,并利用遗传操作技术开展相关分子育种。

本团队长期从事昆虫先天免疫的研究,在国内较早开展了家蚕细胞自噬和凋亡研究。近 10 年来,通过与国内外合作,获得了一定的原创性研究成果:①在昆虫抗菌肽功能分化和体液免疫机制方向,先后在国际期刊 Insect Biochem Mol Biol(2012,2020)、PLoS ONE(2011)、JBB(2009)、Gene(2006)等发表论文 7 篇,在国内核心期刊发表论文 19 篇;②在家蚕细胞自噬和凋亡方向上,先后在 Autophagy(2010,2013,2016,2021)、Scientific Reports(2015)、PLoS ONE(2012)、Apoptosis(2011)、Can. J. Zool(2010,2011)等发表论文多篇。先后承担国家“973计划”项目、国家“863”计划项目、国家自然科学基金项目、广东省科技计划项目等近20项。实验室建立和掌握了昆虫先天免疫、细胞自噬研究的平台和技术方法,具有从事家蚕细胞自噬研究的丰富经验。
